“An entire republic of tableaux is built up by Hüner to form Total Realm. Here Totalitarian imagery from modernist's dark principles are reconfigured across overlapping time zones. A prototype aeroplane flys over an aztec city, Constructivist sculptures ascend through Simpsons cartoon clouds, World War I zeppelins cruse over a Life magazine cover from 1936, as triangular flags are waved by mechanical arms. Triangular flags, once designed by Futurist artists such as Depero to propel the new society into the future, are now set back against the landscape of history. The imagery of modernist utopia is re coloured with the yellow of a banana republic. This is Total Realm.”
